Yearly Renewal for Bomba License
For business usage, it is mandatory to renew the Bomba License yearly.
Bomba License is a sticker that is adhered on a fire extinguisher that is issued by the Fire Department of Malaysia (BOMBA) . Each fire extinguisher has to be inspected by a Bomba official at a station (balai) before it is issued with a Bomba License.

How many fire extinguishers do you need for your business?
1. Determine the size of your location
For every 500sq feet of space, you will need 1 unit of fire extinguisher
2. Determine the type of extinguishers
For normal areas, a 9kg ABC fire extinguisher is suitable for every 500sq feet. For areas with electronics, a 2kg CO2 fire extinguisher is suitable for every 500 sq feet. For example: A space of 1,000sq feet with a 500sq feet server room will need 1 unit of 9kg ABC + 1 unit of 2kg CO2 fire extinguisher.
