How many alarms does your home need?
Most homes have one detector, or none at all. Answer two questions and we will show you how many units you need and where they go.
Based on one unit inside each bedroom in use, plus one on every level outside the sleeping area. Kitchens are covered from outside the doorway to avoid false alarms from cooking.

Where to put them
Mount on the ceiling, at least 30cm from walls and light fittings. Double-sided tape and a screw kit are both included in the box.

Each unit ships with a mounting plate, 2 self-tapping screws, 2 expansion bolts, double-sided tape, user manual and instruction sheet.
Common questions
How do I link two units together?
To interconnect multiple FF Smoke Detector PLUS units:
- Press the Test/Silence button on Device 1 four times quickly. The device will beep and the red LED indicator will start flashing, indicating that it has entered interconnection mode.
- On Device 2, press the Test/Silence button twice continuously. The device will beep, and the red LED will flash rapidly.
- When the green LED flashes, this indicates that Device 2 has been successfully paired with Device 1.
- Repeat the same steps to connect additional devices.

Will cooking or vape smoke set it off?
It can, if the smoke is dense enough to reach the sensor. Mount it at least 3 metres from the stove and ventilate while cooking. If it does trigger, point any infrared remote at it and press to silence.
The battery lasts 10 years but the warranty is 1 year. Why?
The warranty covers manufacturing defects, which normally appear early. The sealed lithium cell is rated for 10 years of standby operation and there is nothing to open or replace. At the 10-year mark the whole unit is replaced, which is standard for sealed detectors.
Do I need wiring or an internet connection?
Neither. The units communicate with each other wirelessly. No hub, no app, no Wi-Fi and no electrician.
How do I test it?
Press the Test/Silence button. The red LED flashes once, then the buzzer sounds three times with three LED flashes. Test each unit once a month.
